ugh... pictures...

I got my senior picture taken today. No, let me rephrase, I got my senior pictureS taken today. My appointment was at 11:30, so I showed up early and was immediately velcroed into a velvet straitjacket. well, technically it's called a 'gown', but it was basically a velvet curtain that they velcroed around me and scrunched up the front. It was just kinda awkward, since it was off the shoulder, so the lady that velcroed me slipped the straps of my tank top down (I wasn't allowed to do it haha). So then I sat in one of the seats of the auditorium, in my 'gown' until my appointment. Then I was called up for my sitting, and my photographer was really cool. She was cracking jokes and actually got me to genuinely smile for my pictures, which is pretty hard. So she took two just with the 'gown', one with a fake red rose, and one with a fake white rose. Then she took two with a fake graduation gown on, and one with just my casual clothes. Then I had to go to a different photographer for full-length, casual clothes shots. I nearly fell over a few times, but stayed on my feet! I was proud of myself haha
Then I went over to Lilac's house, and we hung out for a few hours. I was happy! We mostly just hung out at her house and talked, but it was really cool because we haven't done that forever.
Then I went home and blogged. The end!! X3

ah, the wonders of summer weekends....

even though I'll be spending the day alone in my house, I can get up as late as I want! 8:30 here I come!

so, today I:
-woke up at 7:30. work starts at 10:00
-had a very impatient person behind me, who seemed to be talking on her phone, drinking an iced coffee, and smoking a cigarette all at the same time as she was yelling at me and flipping me off
-had a very slow first hour, then a very busy second- and third-hours, which included:
1 curly-blonde-headed adorable little girl, who liked to throw books on the floor and who attempted to climb one of the shelves, deliberately kicking the books that belonged on that shelf onto the floor. her father (I assume) was in the next room and only looked up when the child was screaming
2 children who liked to ask me to find them books, then didn't look at them before rejecting them and telling me to put them back
3 people that had overdue fines in excess of 5 dollars, and who refused to pay them
and a family of 4 that consisted of: an adorable little girl of a toddler who wouldn't stop screaming until I gave her a sticker a boy who liked to empty out shelves of books and carry them around like he was going to check them out, until his mother made him pick a few, and dropped the others on the ground; a father that encouraged the boy to pick (and ultimately reject) more books; and a mother who didn't have a library card.
-the last hour was ok, our regulars came in and it was fine. except one of the ladies that came in read the Twilight series. she and I had similar opinions (great characters, so-so-and-lower everything else), except she was on Team Jacob. and I'm on Team Jasper-because-Edward's-a-sparkly-emo-who's-so-far-in-the-closet-he's-having-adventures-in-Narnia-and-Jacob's-too-good-for-Bella-so-she-should-just-disappear-to-the-Land-of-the-Mary-Sues-and-let-Jasper-and-everyone-else-be-semi-cool-on-their-own

then when I got home, I cleaned the living room, and watched Cats by Andrew Lloyd Weber. it was.... interesting and frankly quite confusing, but was really awesome. I mean, what's not to love about freakishly-flexible people in scarily-accurate makeup and skin-tight body suits with attached tails and nekomimi? wait, let me rephrase that. while odd, the play was excellently choreographed and the music was amazing, so regardless of the content and relative attractiveness of various characters, it was definitely worth seeing and I would like to see it live. there, that sounds more intelligent and less creeper-ish, right? anyway, just go here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cats_(musical)
after that was done, another musical came on, called Once Upon A Mattress. think Princess And The Pea, only make the queen a scheming control-freak, the king a mute, the prince a complete mama's boy, and the princess basically like Fiona from Shrek. add musical numbers, choreography, and a dash of trippy, and there you have it!

anyway, now I am tired, and have to clean my room tomorrow, so night night!

i can't remember why i wanted to post....

but i remember that i wanted to, so i must have wanted to. so i most likely had something to say.

anyway, my little bro has a soccer tournament in... umm....... a place named after a chocolate bar-manufacturer, and he and my dad are gone until sunday. so while my mom was at work, i, having very little to do, watched tv, which seemed to consist of wedding shows. so i watched them. after my third consecutive episode of 'Bridezillas', i got to thinking..... what (if ever) would my wedding be like? and after switching between 'Say Yes to the Dress' and 'Bridezillas', i realized that if it ever happened, it would be odd. my mom hates shopping, and wouldn't look for a gown with me. i have no (biological) sisters (that i know of), so any and all bridesmaids will most likely be you guys (sorry!). and, all in all, i got to thinking about who would actually marry me. and, just as background, i'm reading 'Pride and Prejudice' right now, so it isn't helping my state of mind.
i came to the conclusion that i would most likely be a controlling, over-emotional bridezilla, and that i'd probably lose my friends, family, and fiance before the wedding. so sorry in advance (if it ever happens), guys! haha

anyway, today was the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!! so now we're all SENIORS!!!!!!!! w00t!!!!!!!!!
only, problem is:
-summer homework
+working over the summer
+stress of planning things
+having no clue what's happening day-to-day
+not being able to see you guys as often as i could (ToT)
+trying to have fun
+OHCRAPI'MASENIORNEXTYEAR
=stress. whee........

BUT! it's better than school. so ^_^

i got my hair cut yesterday... well, cut and dyed. dyed very dark, actually. now it kinda looks like i dyed my hair black. even though it's not black! it's dark brown! i swear...

anyway, had my english final today. it was... surprisingly easy. kind of like the chemistry final. actually, that's starting to worry me a bit......

and now that i'm thoroughly worried about tomorrow, i should probably be studying... or freaking out.

om nom turtle... X3

I finally met Chibi-chan's love interest today. He was......... let us say, 'interesting'. And also, 'awesome'. Tobi-san (what I'll call him for now) is very funny and can do awesome accents. Also, he's Irish! And he can speak in a rather good Irish accent!

So.... summary of my weekend:

Friday: meh... don't remember.
Saturday: work.... slow.... annoying..... Then I went over to Chibi-chan's house (her parents are away for a long weekend) and she and I and her brother all went down to Ridley Park (like an hour away) to drop her brother off to a sleepover. All we had was Mapquest. There. Not back. So after Chibi-chan and I dropped him off, we drove around for about an hour trying to find our way back, then found a police station and asked a cop for directions. He gave us really good directions, but we took a wrong turn and didn't realize until it was too late, so we had to stop at a gas station and ask for more directions. We finally were on the right road, but then we missed an exit or something and ended up in Pottstown! Fortunately, we somehow passed Zern's, and I directed us back to my house from there so we could pick up my dad's GPS for when we had to pick Chibi-chan's brother up the next day (it took us an estimated 3 hours to get home and neither of us wanted to repeat that experience). My parents freaked and said that we couldn't do it because we were inexperienced (we didn't tell them we already did it once) and that it was a long drive and what if we got into an accident and all that stuff, so they decided that one of them would sit in the car with us. Not do anything, just sit there. After that, Chibi-chan went to the Collegeville diner at like 9 o'clock for dinner. She had chili, with a side of fries, and I had pasta primavera. It was pretty good.... especially when I dipped the fries in the sauce X) By the time we were done, it was around 10 or 10:30 and Chibi-chan was dead tired, so I drove us back to her house. I discovered that I hate minivans. Well, no. I dislike minivans, and much prefer my car. When we got back to Chibi-chan's house, we basically passed out after setting up my blanket-nest on the floor and talking until 1 am.
Sunday: After getting up at around 7, Chibi-chan and I fell back asleep until about 8. She was singing at church, so we had to be there early, around 9 o'clock. So we got ready and she drove over, arriving just in time for practice. Well, for Chibi-chan at least. I kinda... sat under a tree for most of it. Then Chibi-chan got a break and she found Tobi-san, who promptly quoted 'Leather Pants' and almost made her choke on her water. Then the whole church-thingy happened outside (I think it was a special event, there was a picnic afterwards. but I'll get to that later) and Tobi-san and I sat together with a spare chair for Chibi-chan when she was done and talked during the pauses. After church was over, we all went inside and ate lunch and talked... a lot. Then Chibi-chan said we had to go pick her brother up, and Tobi-san asked to come with us, so he did. We all went back to Chibi-chan's house to pick my stuff up, then drove to my house to pick up my dad, who was going to sit in the car with us and do nothing. The radio was being stupid, so I gave Tobi-san my iPod and iHome, and said he could do whatever he wanted. After he watched 'Final Fantasy VII Chibisters' and we all sang along, he played 'Leather Pants' and then some Evanescence, some Breaking Benjamin, and some other stuff too, which we (and by 'we', I mean Chibi-chan, Tobi-san, and me) sang along to. Tobi-san has a really nice voice.... anyway, the ride home was basically the same thing, and after Chibi-chan got to her house, I drove me and my dad home. Tobi-san stayed at her house and hung out. And then I was home. I did laundry and homework.

The end!!

...wait. I have a story. Not a particularly good story, and not a particularly happy- or sad-story, just a story.
Thursday was Senpai's last day. You guys remember Senpai? He's a friend of mine, a senior, and is going into the military. After he graduates, he's going to Kentucky for training camp. So on Thursday, I left my math class early as usual for tech, and I saw him in his class. We made eye contact and I smiled and waved, and walked on. Well, turns out he got a pass out of his class, and we met up at my locker. We talked, and he signed my yearbook, and I said that I was sad that he was going and that he better email me every once in a while to tell me he's not dead or hurt or anything, and he laughed and poked me. We hugged goodbye, and I...kissed him. On the cheek. I don't know why, I don't know how he reacted, I just kinda blushed and ran away, or well walked away as fast as I could in my boots. And later, I found that he broke up with his girlfriend before all that happened.
F.M.L.

anyway, night night!

wow...

I graduated last night. yup, you read it right, I graduated. from tech, that is XP
since Biotech is a one-year program, I 'graduated' from the program, not the school. of course, all of the other programs are four-year, so I was either the only or one of the very few juniors.
anyway, it was a cool ceremony, even though there were 225 of us it only lasted about an hour and a half, and I got to wear a black robe with a blue collar/ribbon-thingy, which made me feel like I was in Hogwarts. Ravenclaws w00t!

yeah... it was a pretty good day. I also attended the awards ceremony (that I DIDN'T need to dress up for) at PV and got my cop-out award, perfect attendance. Anyway, great job on your smart-person awards Kaitlyn and Rachel! i also got a free soft pretzel for my constancy.

AND! in chemistry, we made stuff explode. we and the AP class went outside and filled a trash can full of water. then, the teachers poured some liquid nitrogen into a soda bottle, screwed it shut, and chucked it into the trash can. the bottle swelled with the pressure of the liquid becoming a gas, and eventually, well... BOOM! it was pretty awesome..... until monotone-boy got depressed because he couldn't see my friend. and the problem is, when he gets sad, he gets sulky. it kinda reminded me of a puppy...

but yes. nothing much happened today, I was the only one in biotech, so i just fixed-and-cleaned the autoclave, helped stack up some boxes of stuff my teacher wanted to organize, and dissected a squid. it was pretty cool.....

night night! X3

speaking of turtles....

I saved-ed-ed one today!! i was coming home on the bus, and a couple hundred feet from my house i saw a turtle almost in the street! so as soon as i got off the bus, i dropped my bag and started sprinting to where i saw the turtle from the bus. i got there in time, so i am officially faster than the average turtle! (*silly grin coupled with overly-done anime-victory pose*) turns out, it was not a little turtle. or, for any intents and purposes, a happy turtle. it was also a snapping turtle. so, confronted with an angry snapping turtle that was a little less than a foot long and about six inches wide, i tried to nudge it out of the way with my converse-clad foot. it promptly sank its demonic turtle jaws into the rubber of my shoe. or tried to, at least. i got my foot out of the way and kicked it over, into the grass beside the road. and after it righted itself, the thing came after me! i thought turtles were supposed to be nice! anyway, the turtle, which i named Alfie (short for Alfred) and i basically had a standoff after that. it just sat there and stared at me, and i stood about three or four feet away and stared back. finally, someone from the township came and parked in the parking lot on the other side of the road, after waiting for a sufficient lapse in traffic, he got a shovel out of the back of his pickup truck and came over. after a few minutes of the turtle attacking the shovel and the guy alternately, he scooped it back up and took the satanic reptile away, saying that he'd put it in a nearby creek.

and THAT was my adventure today.
byes!! X3
